Azerbaijan Green Energy Company (AGEC) has launched a major offshore wind resource assessment initiative in the Caspian Sea. As part of the project, EOLOS Floating LiDAR Solutions commissioned its floating LiDAR system, marking the region's first offshore wind measurement campaign of this kind.

The one-year campaign will collect investment-grade wind data to support future turbine selection, foundation design, and technical and financial planning for offshore wind projects.

The initiative is being carried out under the cooperation agreement between AGEC and the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan for preliminary offshore surveys in the Caspian Sea.

The project represents a significant milestone in Azerbaijan's offshore wind development strategy, supporting future renewable energy investments and laying the foundation for large-scale offshore wind projects in the Caspian Sea.
